# Glossary of Terms

## Understand our lingo... the terms, acronyms and words you should know.

Glossary of key terms used in the industy and at Atom. 

 

API

 

| **Term** | **Definition** |
| --- | --- |
| API | Application Programming Interface |
| *Application* | *ATDW-Online the software application used to create and manage ATDW listings.* |
| *BI* | *Business Intelligence, gleamed from data and statistics.* |
| Content |  |
| **Contribution API (CAPI)** | Contribution Application Programming Interface, used for bulk import and creation or update of profiles from external sources. |
| Distributor |  |
| Profile |  |
|  |  |
| RTO / RTB |  |
| STO | State Tourism Organisations including: - Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ); - Destination New South Wales (DNSW); - Visit Canberra (VC); - Visit Victoria (VVIC); - Tourism Tasmania (TTAS); - South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC); - Tourism Western Australia (TWA); and - Tourism Northern Territory (TNT). |
| Supplier | Users including product operators, Local or Regional Tourism Organisations and external content providers who use the ATDW platform to create and manage tourism product profiles(s) and organisation and user account(s). |
| **QA** | Quality Assurance |
| **RTO** | Regional Tourism Organisation |
| **VIC** | Visitor Information Centre |
| **IND** | Industry Organisation |
| **User** | An individual or user account that has been provided access to use the system under an organisation’s profile. |
